Job Title: Accounts Management

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with recent experience working within a practice environment to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual who is looking to contribute to the growth of our practice and play a key role in taking the business to the next level. You will be working closely with the current management team and will have the chance to make a real impact.

Your Role:

As a Qualified Chartered Accountant in Accounts Management, you will be instrumental in overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the company. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance, accuracy, and the timely delivery of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management and oversight of all financial and accounting functions.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with the management team to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Potentially managing junior members of the finance team, depending on experience.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.
  • Taking on ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent UK qualification).
  • You will have recent and relevant experience working within an accountancy practice.
  • You will possess a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • You will be highly organised and able to manage your workload effectively to meet deadlines.
  • You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You will be a confident communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • You will be a proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
  • You will be proficient in using relevant accounting software and Iris Practice Management.
  • [Optional: Include any specific software experience that is desirable, e.g., Xero, QuickBooks etc.]
  • You will be a team player with the ability to build positive working relationships.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
